I am very impressed with the Sun Journal's efforts to find out how the readers felt about anonymous posters. The majority felt that people should use their real names. And, I am even more impressed that they implemented the Verified Status program. I would love the names of the cowards who used to write pure lies about me and people I care about in the comment sections of the Sun Journal. Those anonymous, gutless posters would never dare say the things they did if we knew who they really were. I stopped reading the Sun Journal because I thought that the commenting policy was reckless at best and the anonymous commenters were dragging down the integrity of the paper. The web department was definitely not given enough resources to keep up with the minions. Thank you Sun Journal. I applaud you.

Erin Cox Engages in Deceptive Practices by Joining a Private Forum in an Effort to Find "Dirt" & Then Puts the Conversations Out on the Public Domain

Erin Pealatere Cox, originally of Peru, Maine, now living in Homer Alaska and working as a 911 Dispatcher has become an active member of the RVFP. She joined the TRR private forum in an effort to obtain information that could then be fed back to the RVFP administrators and moderators. She befriended Jennifer Norris in an attempt to gain access to private conversations and after she was caught, she was immediately banned from the site. She is now feeding information to the RVFP which otherwise would have been private had she not deceptively joined the forum in an effort to find information that she could use to discredit the Forum Adminstrators and the forum itself. It is very sad that people in this town would behave in such an unprofessional and sneaky fashion. For those of you who have read the private conversations in the forum, please remember that our membership was a tight knit group that engaged in conversation not meant to be put out on the public domain. You can thank Erin Cox for that. And, she claims that she is very close to Rob Cameron so anyone that can have a relationship with someone like Ms. Cox is questionable as well.

A friend of mine read a post that you wrote the other day and I think it was beautiful. All I want is for people to respect my right to my views. We can agree to disagree. I'm a little scared to let you on because of some of the mean things you have said about me in the past but everyone deserves a second chance. Please don't attack me for my views but if you want to express your own views, I think that is great. I am not the Queen and expect everyone to agree with my views or else... The RVFP has a few people on there who have got me all wrong. I care about our community and the future of Rumford more than anything in the world. I have no real motive if that's what you are concerned about. You'll find I'm pretty open minded and I like to get opinions from a wide source of people. I've found that others can sometimes truly open your eyes to a perspective you would have never seen otherwise. I understand and respect your hesitation in giving me a membership. Desperate Measures Taken by "Anonymous" RVFP Moderators and Administrators to Get Finance Committee Member Kicked off Board

It appears that not only is this anonymous group trying to impersonate me on the Sun Journal comment sections but now they are going to try and impersonate me on their forum (RVFP). Please note that I have nothing to do with either of these two sites and that anything written in these forums and blogs is not me and is a set up to attempt to remove me from the Finance Committee. I recently learned that an anonymous person submitted a complaint in regards to a Sun Journal article where members of this forum were accusing me of being the commenter and demanding that I be removed from the Finance Committee.

I had nothing to do with it and I do not participate in the Sun Journal comment sections or on the RVFP. At one point, I joined the RVFP as Jennifer Stowell Norris because I was invited and I am not afraid to use my real name. I attempted to explain my fiscally conservative position but was banned because my view points differed from theirs. I cannot even access the site because my IP address has been banned preventing me from even looking at the forum. These people are immature, desperate, childish, and hurting our community's ability to move forward.

Pachebo, the Dust Elf, Just Likes to Stir Things Up

Remember I wrote a piece on "internet stalking" here on the Rumford Reporter starring the infamous pachebo@aol.com. I also shared that the same person who was sending me unwanted, insulting e-mails was also sending the Lisbon Reporter the same kind of messages.

Well, it looks like the Lisbon Reporter staff have figured out who the culprit is just by tracking some IP addresses and comparing them to some IP addresses they already had on file. For the full story, please click here.

Technology is amazing and what is even more amazing is how no matter how hard you try, you cannot hide the trail of messages on the internet. You'll be surprised who it is. Or, maybe you won't. Let's just put it this way: Who has motive to write to both the Rumford Reporter and Lisbon Reporter?

You'll find out soon enough as the plot thickens.

It won't be long before Hack Rumford gets found out either. You will be even more surprised who that is. Again, who has the motive? Motive is everything and the amateur hackers gave us lots of clues as to their true identity. Are you scared yet? You should be because internet cyberstalking and hacking are considered federal crimes punishable by big fines and even some jail time.

Local Website Guilty of Cyberbullying

There is a website here in town called the RFP, otherwise known as the Rumford Fire and Police advocates, who in effect engage in the act of cyberbullying and get away with it because of their affiliations with authority figures in the Town of Rumford. The sad situation with this particular website is that the writers are anonymous, therefore, those who are the victim of their slanderous comments, lies, and personal attacks are not able to confront their accusers. The people that this website are in fact cyberbullying are not able to identify who the cyberbullys are therefore it appears that they cannot take legal action via the criminal justice system or through civil means.

Since the inception of the Rumford Reporter and our quest to ensure that the community is provided with the truth, we have been the victims of cyberbullying to include hacking, anonymous e-mails, anonymous comments, and numerous slanderous blog entries. But, if you are aware of this website, the Rumford Reporter is not the only victims. They have publicly attacked our Town Manager, Board of Selectmen members, and others who are actively involved in doing the right thing for our community.

We introduce to those who are victims of their cyberbullying an educational article addressing the topic of "Cyberbullying on the Internet." Please click here to view this article.

The article states the following:

"The Internet provides the perfect forum for cyberbullies, individuals whose aim is to gain gratification from the distress caused by provoking and tormenting others. The anonymity, ease of provocation, and almost infinite source of targets means the Internet is full of predators from pedophiles targeting children to serial bullies targeting ... anybody."

"Serial bullies, whose behaviour profile you'll find in full at Bully OnLine, harbour a lot of internal aggression which they direct at others. This may include projection, false criticism and patronising sarcasm whilst contributing nothing of any value."

"People who bully are adept at creating conflict between those who would otherwise pool negative information about them. The method of creating conflict is provocation which bullies delight in because they know they can always coerce at least one person to respond in a manner which can then be distorted and used to further flame and inflame people. And so it goes on. The bully then sits back and gains gratification from seeing others engage in destructive behaviour towards each other."

"If you receive abusive emails or flame mails or hate mail, you can forward it to abuse@isp where "isp" is the service provider the abuser is using, eg "aol.com" or "yahoo.com". Although Internet service providers may not act on every complaint, the more complaints they receive about a particular individual (with examples of abusive email) the more likely they are to close down the person's account."

"The objectives of bullies are Power, Control, Domination, Subjugation. They get a kick out of seeing you react. It doesn't matter how you react, the fact they've successful provoked a reaction is, to the bully, a sign that their attempt at control have been successful. After that, it's a question of wearing you down. The more your try to explain, negotiate, conciliate, etc the more gratification they obtain from your increasingly desperate attempts to communicate with them. Understand that it is not possible to communicate in a mature adult manner with a disordered individual who's emotionally retarded."

Advice to those who are victims of this cyberbullying:

1. Don't respond, don't interact and don't engage
2. Keep all abusive emails (& blog entries)
3. Understand bullying
4. Get help
5. Become alert to provocation
6. Become an observer
7. Decide if you want to take action
8. Prepare carefully and strike hard
9. Don't respond, don't interact and don't engage

Don't let the actions of these and other cyberbullys affect your life in any way. By understanding who they are and what they are attempting to do, it will help you to understand that it does not behoove you to try and confront them personally or base your actions on their responses. The best way to handle these and other cyberbullys is to save all the evidence and as the laws get stronger, use it to not only help yourself but others as well.

UPDATE: What Is Internet Stalking?

On June 21st, 2008, I started receiving hate e-mails from pachebo@aol.com. Since the conception of the Lisbon Reporter in early July, the editors of that site have also been receiving hate e-mails from pachebo@aol.com written to me as if I was the editor. The editors of the Lisbon Reporter have forwarded me all e-mails to add to my collection of evidence. Trust me, I would much rather not deal with this. I haven't received any mean comments since I suspended the anonymous commenting on my blog and I haven't received any mean e-mails except from this one person. I ignored them initially but now I am starting to get annoyed because they are just too personal for my comfort level. I paid close attention to motive and opportunity. I also paid close attention to the content. I am posting this information in an effort to get this to stop. I don't want any trouble. I just want to be left alone.

I did conduct a google search on "internet stalking" and here is the legal definition:

"Any repetitive or unwanted contacts, including e-mails, chat room postings, or blogging, may be considered internet stalking. I have represented numerous individuals in such cases. Normally a Cease & Desist Letter from an attorney brings it to a stop."

I just got off the phone with my lawyer (don't worry, it wasn't ALL about you, since he is also a friend and we have OTHER things to talk about), but he was laughing a lot about how you seem to have dug your own grave. Your deletions didn't quite go undetected. (Nor has anyone else yet seen your own expletive-laden emails to me .... see? i am a gentleman! I don't use the F word).

He's suggested a public apology from you both on your own site as well as on the RVFP. I told him that that was highly unlikely, but thought , to be fair, I would pass his suggestion on to you.. At this time, neither of us (me or my lawyer) are looking at monetary compensation. It's not worth it (at least to me). But you might want to think twice about playing so dirty (as my grandfather said, "if you play in s**t, , you're gonna get dirty").

As Harry Truman said ... " if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen".I would change that, though, since i do think you have a lot to offer , so my paraphrase would be " if you like the kitchen, be nice when you are there".

Internet Crime Complaint Center...An FBI-NW3C Partnership

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) was established as a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to serve as a means to receive Internet related criminal complaints and to further research, develop, and refer the criminal complaints to federal, state, local, or international law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies for any investigation they deem to be appropriate. The IC3 was intended, and continues to emphasize, serving the broader law enforcement community to include federal, as well as state, local, and international agencies, which are combating Internet crime and, in many cases, participating in Cyber Crime Task Forces.

Since its inception, the IC3 has received complaints crossing the spectrum of cyber crime matters, to include online fraud in its many forms including Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) matters, Computer Intrusions (hacking), Economic Espionage (Theft of Trade Secrets), Online Extortion, International Money Laundering, Identity Theft, and a growing list of Internet facilitated crimes. Since June 2000, it has become increasingly evident that, regardless of the label placed on a cyber crime matter, the potential for it to overlap with another referred matter is substantial. Therefore, the IC3, formerly known as the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (Internet Fraud Complaint Center), was renamed in October 2003 to better reflect the broad character of such matters having an Internet, or cyber, nexus referred to the IC3, and to minimize the need for one to distinguish "Internet Fraud" from other potentially overlapping cyber crimes.

IC3 Mission Statement

IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local, and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.

Significant and supplemental to partnering with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, it will remain a priority objective of the IC3 to establish effective alliances with industry. Such alliances will enable the IC3 to leverage both intelligence and subject matter expert resources, pivotal in identifying and in crafting an aggressive, proactive approach to combating cyber crime.

Like Gov Sarah Palin, Jennifer Norris' Personal E-mail Account and Blog was "Hacked" and They Bragged About it on a Local Website: The RFP

Editor's Note: They say that criminals for the most part are very dumb. The juvenile actions of these "hackers" proves just that. In the below post which is also evidence, they bragged about why and how they did it on their friend's website, the RFP. Everything they wrote in this post happened and I didn't have to write a statement because they did it for me. Little did they know that it is not just a Class D State Crime but a Federal Crime, which will probably strengthen now that Governor Palin's personal e-mail account has been "hacked" in the exact same way. This internet crime was reported to the FBI and the Department of Justice just moments after it was discovered. Now, who's laughing last?

On Sunday July 20th 2008, I was sitting on my couch reading with my feet up. Around 12:30 I had an epiphany. I have been thinking in recent months on how to gag the disturbing Rumford distorter. I’m ok with a computer, but I have a real problem with password and usernames. I like to change them frequently because of letters like this.

I knew Jennifer was using a hotmail.com email address oops.com. So, I jumped online and went to http://login.live.com/ and put in her address. Than I thought for a minute, I have an IP address that may record this. I stopped, got in my car and drove around to find a wireless hot spot, came to the conclusion there are a lot of open networks out there. After finding one that was most comfortable for parking and a strong signal. I tried again to log into her email account, I tried a couple of passwords and was unsuccessful, I clicked on the link password help, which gave me a couple options. I chose to state my area and answer the secrete question. The question was. “Who is your favorite historical person?” Hmmmmm, I knew immediately what that was, since this freak wraps her self in the Rumford flag, it had to be Hugh Chisholm, well I was wrong. It was just Chisholm. I freaked, slammed down my lap top and took of. This needed to be thought about, I’m a law abiding citizen with a good job and loving family. The last thing I needed was to be on the Sun Journal or worse the Rumford reporter. I went home and told my wife. She said” Your crazy! Go mow the lawn!” Ouch! Well I didn’t marry her, to have her, support my mischievousness behavior; I married her to stop that. Anyway, I called my buddy and asked if he could keep a secret, I was very paranoid and asked him if he was on a cordless or an actual land line. (Too much CSI). I told him that I could get into Jennifer’s email. I felt a big ass broad grin come across his face, as he immediately yells to his wife, “honey where in”!! I rolled my eyes and, in came his wife.

I said grab your laptop, lets go for a ride and discuss this information and make “a” some what responsible decision as is what to do. After she called my wife, we were off on a mission. Like school kids looking for beer!

Before we did any thing we did some research. After a quick and futile "whois” report. We had very little. We changed her email password and logged in. WOW. We were in, we changed the “secret question” and starting having fun. We where happy reading her emails, not that this is a huge surprise, but the people who they correspond with are, Mark Balenger, Frank Diconzo, Ron “chapter 11” Theriault, Len “interim” Grealy , Jason ”I’m to sexy for my shirt” Thompson, Tom Fallon, Mark Henry, and finally Kevin “I always have something to say” Siasi. None of this was a big surprise, but it was awe inspiring to see how they actual work. FWI. Kevin is not there favorite; we read a letter he wrote to them about the Lisbon reporter, Len and a phone call at Kevin’s house. He was scolding Jennifer in way we unfortunately have all been witnessed too. She forwarded it to Ron and Frank and called him an ass hole.

Now we wanted the site. We went to blogsbpot.com which hosts her site charterwatch.blogspot.com. We didn’t know the password so we had them send it to her hotmail account that we were viewing. Simple as shit we were in and had access to the rumford reporter. We laughed and looked over our shoulders in a now foggy automobile with four individuals who never thought they would be doing this. There was an excitement about doing what we new was wrong but needed to be done. This mission was now more fun. We thought what do we do? First we didn’t want to do anything to make it look like we where there, we deleted her submitters, and allowed people to post without being questioned. We found the “Delete Blog”. Hmmmmmm. Well if we do this that is that and where done, we voted. The ladies said no the men said yes. As in any marriage they won. Keep the peace! A decision was met to just post a statement.

THE RUMFORD REPORTER HAS BEEN HIGH JACKED!! SITE UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP! THERE WILL BE NO MORE LIES AND HATRED POSTED HERE!! FELL FREE TO POST OPENLY.

Also a quick shout out to Jennifer on her ignorance.

That was it for the site, we new they would be on to us. So we moved back to the email account. She had a promotional email from a web site” My Domain.com. in her inbox. Hmmmmm. We traveled there and they sent us the password. This account is where she registered the domain rumfordreporter.com and lets you make changes to where you want the name to point to. We changed it to iamaidiot.com for obvious reasons.

It was now about 3:30 and we knew we where pushing our luck and someone had to pee. We closed the lid on our laptops and went home to view the fallout.

I wanted to do more, I was told to stop! The site up with our post lasted about 40 minutes, they then regained access. She temporality closed the site except for accounts only. By 9 she had reposted like nothing ever happened. If you look closely you will se the changes. She no longer is using the Rumford reporter hotmail account. We still have access to that.

Well our damage was done and we tried to teach a lesson of responsibility to this destructive woman.

We hacked it! We could of and wish in hind site that we deleted the whole site. I guess the moral of this story is: Never take a woman to do a man’s job…LOL ….joking!!!

We where thinking this was Class A, but Kevin has stated it’s nothing more than a Class D. At least give us an E for effort??

Editor's Note: I had to cancel my credit card information that paid for the domain to the Rumford Reporter because the hacker's gained access to my e-mail account, my blog, and the domain website. But, their attempts to redirect my website to www.iamanidiot.com were futile because at the time I wasn't using www.rumfordreporter.com, I was using www.therumfordreporter.com. Thanks to them, I now own two URLs and both of them take you to my newspaper. There is a silver lining in every cloud.

Today, July 2oth a group of concerned individuals gained access to the Rumford Reporter web site and email directories. We call it “the Rumford Tea Party”. People are fed up with the lies, slander and misleading accusations. A Freedom from oppressive and calculating-destructive individuals, which strangle-hold our town.

We “let“ her keep control of the site to teach a lesson in responsibility. If she is truly an educated person, that harpers the concept of community responsibility, shared an equal rights, that offer… not slander, but command ground on an infrastructure that needs to unify. If not! The site will be brought down! You may agree or disagree. This needed to be done!! The secrete is out…..and it’s not a secrete!

We’re convinced that she will be at the law enforcements door,there may not be a budget or leg to stand on. There was no crime committed. Just a lesson in personal responsibility! A copy of the email sent.
