Signs of Summer in Western Maine

Angel Falls, Byron, Maine

Directions: Take West 17 towards Rangeley; The turn off is located about 16 miles down that road on the left; it is about 4 miles past Coos Canyon (just to give you a landmark); the road takes you over a bridge (swift river) and is called Houghton Road but there is no sign; Take a right on Bemis Road and you will see signs for Angel Falls; parking is located about 4 miles down the dirt road. Follow the red markers clearly indicated on the trail. And, expect to get a little wet because you have to cross the water a couple times. Wear good shoes and keep following the red markers until you get to a huge set of falls.
